Earlier this month, we talked about the release of the new flagship smartphone Blackberry Z10 . And now, a few weeks later, the guys from the TechInsights portal got their hands on one of these devices, decided to take it apart and figure out what it’s inside and how much the whole thing is worth.
After calculating the cost of individual components of the Blackberry Z10 including the display, processor, cameras, storage, battery, network modules, RAM and other electronics, the guys found out that the net cost of the Blackberry Z10 is $ 154.
“The 4.2-inch Z10 display costs about $ 26.50. Qualcomm dual-core processor with a frequency of 1.5 GHz is estimated at 23.50 dollars. The 8 megapixel (rear) and 2 megapixel front cameras cost 15 dollars in total. 16 GB of permanent memory priced at $ 9. All other components, including the battery, network modules and RAM will cost $ 21. The body of the Z10 itself, including electronic crayons, costs about $ 59 in total. The total cost of the device is 154 dollars. "
If you compare the Z10, for example, with the cost of the components of the iPhone 5, which is 139 dollars, the Blackberry device is a little more expensive. But this is justified, since the Z10 has a larger screen, more RAM and its battery has a higher capacity than the iPhone 5 battery.
