Without waiting for the start of the MWC exhibition, Acer officially unveiled two new Android devices, which became Liquid Z2 and Liquid E1. The latter was announced by Taiwanese last month.

It has a 4.5-inch QHD-screen (960 × 540 pixels), Android 4.1 operating system, 2-core GHz processor, 1 GB RAM, 5-megapixel camera and 1760 mAh battery. The smartphone supports the standard of communication 3G HSPA and is preparing to go in two versions, one of which works with two SIM-cards.

Liquid Z2 is an entry level smartphone. This is indicated by a 3.5-inch display with a resolution of HVGA (480 × 320), a 1 GHz processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The buyer will be offered to choose from two options that differ in the number of slots for SIM-cards and pixels in the camera image sensor (3 or 5 MP).

Both smartphones support GPS, MicroSD, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, and also have a built-in FM receiver.

Information about release dates and prices is not confirmed, but it is expected that Liquid E1 will cost about 199-229 euros, and Liquid Z2 will fall in the range of 99-129 euros. Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Ukraine will receive these smartphones first. Next on the list are Italy, Russia and the United Kingdom.

In the near future, Acer plans to launch a number of very cheap tablets.
