The first Intel Atom smartphone is introduced on the Russian market.

On June 25, Prestigio introduced its new MultiPhone 5430 smartphone. According to representatives of Prestigio, MultiPhone 5430 is the first smartphone on the Russian market built on the Intel Atom platform.

The MultiPhone 5430 case is plastic and all glossy, the dimensions are quite small by today's standards, the device is fine in the hand, but it constantly strives to slip out. She is able to take 8 pictures per second and shoot video in Full HD. This rate of fire was achieved thanks to the chip from Intel. The rate of fire is probably the only thing that can surprise the MultiPhone 5430 camera. It can do good shots only with good lighting.

The touchscreen display of the MultiPhone 5430 is also not amazing, even despite statements by Prestigio representatives that the screen was made using IPS technology. Viewing angles are far from ideal, and color reproduction and contrast make you doubt that the display is really made using IPS technology. As for the characteristics of the screen, its diagonal is 4.3 inches, and the resolution of only 540 x 960 pixels is, by today's standards, to put it mildly, not a record high.

As for the chip from Intel, then we will dwell on it in more detail. Atom Z2420 operates at a frequency of 1.2 GHz and supports Intel's hyper-threading proprietary multi-threading technology, thanks to which the operating system thinks that the processor has not one core, but two. This technology has long been successfully used in Intel desktop processors. This trick is designed to improve performance without increasing energy consumption. By the way, in the popular AnTuTu benchmark, the smartphone is gaining almost 10 thousand points, which is not bad for a single-core chip. However, at the moment it is not entirely clear how things are going with the MultiPhone 5430 with power consumption and this is perhaps the only question that remains to this smartphone.
