Lenovo unveils new Vibe X smartphone

Lenovo unveiled at the IFA 2013 international electronics exhibition in Berlin a rather powerful Lenovo Vibe X smartphone, offering a 5-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and running the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

The new Vibe X is powered by MediaTek's MT6859T quad-core chipset with a frequency of 1.5 GHz. In the work of the processor help 2 GB of RAM. The device is equipped with 16 GB of permanent memory.

The device is assembled in a soft-touch polycarbonate case, and its screen protects the glass Gorilla Glass 3. The thickness of the new product is only 6.9 mm. The same thickness has, for example, the previously announced all-aluminum smartphone Lenovo K900, already larger and based on the Intel processor, that has already gone on sale. The weight of the new Vibe X is just some 121 grams. In addition, the novelty should note the presence of a 13-megapixel main camera, as well as a front-facing 5-megapixel (!) Optical sensor.

In general, a very interesting device spoils one significant drawback. For a device of this size, such a display and such characteristics, a 2000 mAh battery looks like a really weak link.
