LG introduced its new flagship Android-smartphone G5. Together with him, also saw accessories and additional modules. It is in many ways reminiscent of the Google Nexus 6P presented at the end of September last year, although it is slightly smaller than it. The fingerprint scanner is located in the same place as the Nexus Imprint 6P. The camera module G5 also protrudes slightly above the surface of the rear panel of the case. Both phones are available in silver and gold colors and have displays with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. As the G5 has a 5.3-inch display, its pixel density is higher than that of the 6P.

Among the most significant software additions is the latest version of LG UX, which does not contain more than a section of applications. LG explained its new approach with the desire to avoid the error of users, arising from a misunderstanding of the difference between removing the shortcut from the home screen and completely uninstalling the application (from the applications section). Now the interface has become "single-layered", more similar to the one used by users of the iPhone and many Chinese Android-phones.
LG has devoted technical characteristics of its novelty is not so much attention. However, before users could only guess what the new phone would be like. A small button on the side allows you to open the bottom section of the phone, where the battery is located and where you can put an additional module.
The first optional module is LG Cam Plus, which allows you to conveniently hold and use your phone's camera with one hand. At the same time, it is also an additional battery. It contains: a physical button for shooting, a button for shooting video, an LED indicator and a zoom control wheel.
With this module, you can use two cameras built directly into the phone, while increasing the battery capacity from 2800 mAh to 4000 mAh.
LG Hi-Fi Plus is an additional 32-bit DAC in combination with an amplifier developed by the company together with Bang & Olufsen. It provides native support for DSD playback and comes with a pair of H3 B & O Play headphones. Unlike Cam Plus, this module does not affect the shape and ergonomics of the G5. It simply makes the phone somewhat longer and changes its color range, since Hi-Fi Plus is black, and the phone can be silvery and golden and even pink. It is important to note that Hi-Fi Plus can process content from any sound-producing application installed on the phone, including YouTube.
In addition, during the presentation also debuted LG 360 Cam and helmet virtual reality LG 360 VR. LG 360 Cam - a two-sensor spherical camera, which allows you to shoot 16-megapixel photos and video with a resolution of 2K. It supports YouTube 360 and Google Street View.
The device of virtual reality is more interesting. Inside it, unlike Google Cardboard and Gear VR, does not embed a smartphone. Instead, the novelty has its own built-in display and connects to the G5 via USB-C. All calculations are performed by the phone, which transmits data to a 1.88-inch display device with a resolution of 960 x 720 pixels. To design a novelty, LG worked together with Google. Its main advantage is a light weight - only 100 grams, and LG believes that the person wearing it will not look weird.
LG Rolling Bot is a sphero-like ball controlled from the phone, allowing you to monitor the house and play with pets in the absence of hosts. It integrates the camera, speakers, microphone and laser pointer.
LG would like to build an ecosystem of optional Friends modules. All Friends will be automatically synchronized without any additional effort. The most important issue that remains unanswered is prices. LG G5 itself and Friends accessories will be on sale in the world market starting from April 2016.
