The release of the flagship HTC One really postponed

All (those who waited) were afraid of this, but it still happened. HTC has postponed the release of its new flagship smartphone, the HTC One, and thus potentially itself has also hurt its future sales. The Telegraph reports that the company has postponed the release of the device due to the lack of components required for assembly.

For HTC One is a device that offers one of the largest displays that it has ever used before. The novelty is the answer of the popular Galaxy line and its new flagship S IV. Analysts agree that if HTC One was on time or even earlier than the Galaxy S IV, then it would have every chance to bite off a piece of sales from the latter.

Nevertheless, the company announced that the release of HTC One will not take place this month, as everyone had previously expected. However, some buyers who have pre-ordered one of the first, still get the device at the end of the month. Why did this happen?

It's all about the inadequate supply of components needed to collect the flagship. Because of this, the release is postponed at least for April, that is, for a month, when the main competitor, Galaxy S IV, takes the stage.

The reason for the delay in deliveries is that manufacturers and suppliers of these components, according to sources at HTC itself, do not consider HTC to be a first-tier company. For them, more important than the constant supply of such titans as Samsung and Apple.

A few years ago, HTC took a leading position in the supply of its smartphones, along with Nokia. But then its sales declined, and in 2012 its market share was only 4.6 percent, a decline from 8.8 percent a year earlier.

On the announcement of the delay HTC One responded and the stock market - the company's shares began to fall.
