Motorola has updated smartphones series Razr

Motorola Razr D1 D3

Once in the hands of Google, Motorola Mobility went into the shadows. Over the past year, almost all the news about Motorola has been associated with layoffs in the company, and at the end of 2012 it became known that the manufacturer is working on some kind of smartphone, which can become a serious competitor to the iPhone. Today, Motorola has updated the Razr series with two new devices - D1 and D3 .

The sweet couple is for the emerging Brazilian market, but the press release also hints at the subsequent debut of mobile devices in the rest of the world.

Of the two models, the Razr D3 is more advanced technically. The smartphone has a 4-inch display with a protective coating of Gorilla Glass, a 2-core processor at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera with HDR function, and an NFC module. A battery capacity of 2000 mAh should provide long battery life. If necessary, the internal memory (4 GB) can be increased using microSD cards.

Razr D1 is more modest. The screen diagonal of the smartphone does not exceed 3.5 inches, the processor has 1 core, the RAM is 1 GB, and the amount of internal storage is the same as in the D3 model. Also included is a microSD slot, 5 megapixel camera with HDR support and a 1785 mAh battery.

Both devices are running the operating system Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with a guaranteed upgrade to the next version. Razr D1 went on sale today at a price of 280 dollars. Razr D3 will appear on the shelves later with a price tag of $ 400.

Apparently, the Razr D1 and D3 were planned a long time ago. Perhaps even before the deal between Motorola and Google. But the so-called X Phone is already the work of Google. It is expected that the X Phone will debut at the May Google I / O conference.
