Samsung sold 20 million Galaxy S4 in record time

It took just two months for the South Korean company Samsung to sell more than 20 million Galaxy S4 smartphones, Korean media reported. The information about the number of sold flagship devices confirmed Samsung CEO Jay K Shin.

High sales made the Samsung Galaxy S4 the company's fastest-selling Android smartphone. A month after the official launch of the sale, the smartphone exceeded 10 million copies. For comparison, its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S III, managed to reach 20 million units in 100 days.

The published figure did not coincide with the expectations of analysts, who pointed out problems with sales of the Galaxy S4. The same analysts have suggested that sales of Samsung’s flagship smartphone will go down when similar devices from other brands enter the market.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone debuted internationally at the end of April, and by the end of June, its sales reached 20 million copies. The most interesting is that the share of Korea in the total sales of the Galaxy S4 is small - only 500 thousand units. Major sales occurred in the markets of Europe and the USA.
