Of course, such a disgrace could not remain unnoticed for a long time, and after a thorough investigation, the Taiwan Trade Association found the Korean company guilty of violating local laws of fair trade. According to the results of the court hearing, Samsung was ordered to pay a fine of 10 million Taiwan dollars (about 340,000 dollars).

Of course, for a giant like Samsung, such a sum is mere pennies. Nevertheless, this symbolic punishment shows us what measures large companies are ready to take to become leaders in their industry.

Earlier this year, Samsung had twice been caught cheating in Taiwan. For the first time, a Korean company tried to mislead consumers by misinforming them about the camera capabilities of the Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 smartphone. The second time, Koreans drew attention to themselves when they began to offer some developers a tidy sum of money so that they would advertise and promote Samsung in every possible way. But if such small-scale frauds did the Koreans get away with, then the government’s slander against the Taiwanese manufacturer brought the country out of itself, after which all necessary sanctions were applied.
