Sony is preparing a successor for the Xperia ZL

Thanks to one of the users of the portal XDA Developers, we have the opportunity to get acquainted with the photos and some of the technical characteristics of the new and not yet announced smartphone from Sony. According to rumors, the device will be part of an extensive line of Xperia and has a model number D6503.

According to the person who provided this information, the smartphone has a 5.2-inch display with a thinner screen frame than the Xperia Z1 and works under the new version of the user interface installed on top of the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

The source reports that the gadget is in the prototype stage and therefore the user interface is very unstable, constantly hanging. Again, if you believe the source, the model D6503 should come to replace the smartphone Xperia ZL ("budget" version of the Xperia Z), and not Z1. In this case, the main camera of the new device will be the same as that of the models Z1 and Z1 Compact (20.7 megapixels).

Other differences from the Xperia Z1, which immediately catches the eye at the sight of a new smartphone, are the three large grids in the bottom of the device. Perhaps these are the dynamics. On the left side of the device there is a microUSB port and a slot for a SIM card, while on the right side there is a slot for a microSD memory card. In this case, the carbine for the lace is on the left side, and not on the right side, as usual.

At the usual places, the novelty contains only camera control buttons, a power button, a magnetic connector, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and an LED indicator that is located above the main speaker.

Having rummaged in search of the AnTuTu benchmark, the author of these lines found the results of tests of the device with model number D6503. In it, the device received 29126 points.
