The successor of the flagship smartphone HTC One is expected in late March. The premiere of the apparatus will be held in New York. This was announced by one of the Twitter users under the nickname EvLeaks, known for publishing various information leaks.

The new smartphone of the Taiwanese company NTS, which is codenamed HTC M8, is one of the most anticipated mobile devices in 2014. If the information published by EvLeaks is confirmed, the smartphone will miss the upcoming Mobile World Congress exhibition in Barcelona, where many expected it to be seen firsthand. Apparently, the NTS intends to hold its own event.

According to preliminary data, the HTC One will receive a 5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with a clock frequency of 2.3 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, a slot for microSD cards and an internal 16 GB drive. Also expected battery capacity of 2,900 mAh and Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with Sense 6 user interface.

Other sources indicate that there are two camera sensors in the smartphone, one of which allows you to change the focus after the photo has already been taken. A similar technology is implemented in the Lytro chamber.

In another leak released last weekend, the HTC M8 was introduced without the capacitive buttons that HTC has used in its smartphones over the years. Now virtual equivalents are used instead. By the way, rumors about it went long ago. At the end of last year, a fragment of a screenshot of the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system was published, which made it clear that Microsoft is moving away from using physical buttons to help manufacturers reduce the cost of their mobile devices. The software giant even attempted to force HTC to install its “tile operating system” in Android-smartphones.

The very same company HTC does not give any comments on the HTC M8.
