Nexus 6

The newest smartphone from Google - Nexus 6 - is the latest device in the line of smartphones that the company produces specifically to demonstrate the new features of Android. This is the largest of the "nexus" presented by Google so far: the smartphone is equipped with a 6-inch screen, this is more than the iPhone 6 Plus and Galaxy Note 4. Like Note 4, Google Nexus 6 uses a Quad HD display, which guarantees a high and the clear quality of text and images on the phone, despite its large (or even gigantic) size. The phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 805 processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front, a 3220 mAh battery and two front speakers. If desired, the smartphone is equipped with 32 or 64 GB of internal memory, you can also choose between white or blue colors.

Nexus phones have always been slightly modified versions of existing smartphones. Nexus 5, for example, took as a basis LG G2, and with Nexus 6, too, there are no surprises: this is an updated Motorola Moto X. Like Moto X, Nexus 6 is equipped with a metal frame around the outer perimeter, a round flash ring and a dented Motorola logo. There's nothing wrong with this: Moto X is by no means the worst phone, so the more Nexus 6 takes from it, the better.

On board the Nexus 6 is Android 5.0 Lollipop. For the first time, this iteration of the mobile operating system from Google was demonstrated back in June along with the new design language, and since then little has changed - all the same simple forms. Lollipop includes a cost-saving feature that will extend the life of a dying smartphone to 90 minutes.

Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order on October 29, and in stores will appear in early November. The cost without a contract is 649 dollars.

Nexus 9

In addition to the Nexus 6, Google introduced the Nexus 9 tablet. This is the second large tablet of the line of "nexus", because almost two years ago, Google already tried to enter this market with Nexus 10. The tablet was produced by HTC. The tablet will also come with preinstalled Android 5.0, and pre-order will be available October 17. In the stores - November 3. Nexus 9 is available in black or white and in three configurations: 16 GB for 399 dollars, 32 GB for 479 dollars, 32 GB + LTE for $ 599.

Like most HTC products, the Nexus 9 boasts nice metallic inserts and an 8.9-inch QXGA display (2048 × 1536). Aspect ratio of the screen is 4: 3. Separately, Google focuses on the 64-bit processor, which is new for Nexus products. To be more precise, the Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset is to blame. The battery life time is 9 hours, the memory is 2 GB. The company itself says that the form factor of the tablet "is small enough to be conveniently held in one hand, but large enough to work with it." Of the Nexus 9, you can even make a semblance of a laptop by attaching a magnetic keyboard (a stone to Microsoft's Surface garden) to it.
