#видео | Каким может стать интерфейс смартфона с гибким экраном

All around us only say that about flexible screens and the future, where smartphones can be wrapped around the wrist, folded into tubes and, in general, do incomprehensible things with them. But how can the interaction of a person and his smartphone really change if he has a flexible screen? Developers from the University of Queens in Canada showed us their thoughts on this in a small, but very revealing video.

What you see in the video is called ReFlex - and it's just a prototype, not a full-fledged smartphone. It looks awkward and unpresentable, but Canadian developers use it to explore what may become the interface of the flexible electronics of the future. At the heart of the device is a flexible OLED-matrix manufactured by LG, which is attached to two blocks inside which all the rest of the electronics of the gadget are hidden. The screen of the device on the back is equipped with two special sensors that track the degree of its bending. And special tiny vibro motors are responsible for "tactile sensations" from communicating with the device.

In the video, we are shown that by bending the screen you can flip through pages of a digital book or even play games like Angry Birds. During the leafing, you will feel the microvibration as if holding a real paper book, and when pulling the slingshot in the game, trying to get into the evil piglets, you will feel the tension of the rubber and hear the corresponding sound, which will add realism to the process. All this is easier to see than explain in words, so take a look at everything with your own eyes.
