Fujitsu will get rid of mobile and computer units

Fujitsu избавится от мобильного и компьютерного подразделений

Last year, the Japanese company Sony, trying to get out of the financial pique, sold its computer division, which produced computers under the brand Vaio. Her example seems to have been inspired by another company - Fujitsu, which announced that it will separate two divisions: mobile and computer. They will become separate independent companies that do not affect Fujitsu's financial performance. This reshuffle is planned for 2016.

The computer unit will be named Fujitsu Client Computing Limited and will begin operating on February 1, 2016, and the mobile branch will turn into Fujitsu Connected Technologies Limited. Modern realities are such that manufacturers of computers and mobile phones are in a very difficult situation. Where Apple feels quite confident, companies like Fujitsu simply can not survive, no matter how hard they try. By allocating two of its divisions to isolated organizations, the Japanese manufacturer tries to get rid of unnecessary costs that worsen its overall financial state.

In all this story there is another very curious element. If one company to stay afloat is difficult, then you can try to combine your efforts with other manufacturers, also experiencing their not the best of times. According to rumors that appeared earlier this month, computer units Toshiba, Fujitsu and the new owner of the Vaio brand, Japan Industrial Partners, plan to unite. What will eventually come from this unusual symbiosis - time will tell. Maybe three Japanese manufacturers will eventually be able to pass the test of a similar market crisis. But let's not run ahead.
