Looking at the newly presented Galaxy S9 and S9 + novelties, you might think that this time the South Korean giant Samsung did not even try - it's very similar to last year's models. But, as you know, the devil is in the details. And before us is another graphic example of this expression.
Yes, in front of us are models that visually differ little from S8 and S8 +. The same screen size, the same rounded edges. But with closer examination it becomes clear that we are facing really new devices. This is especially noticeable in the new cameras of devices, even though they have changed little in a constructive way.
The younger novelty of the flagship Galaxy line offers a 5.8-inch screen. The older one is equipped with a larger, 6.2-inch display. Aspect ratio of the screen, made by technology Super AMOLED, each of the devices is 18.5: 9. Both have the same resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. The pixel density of the S9 model is 570 per inch, in the S9 + slightly smaller - 529 ppi. Screens, as it always does with Samsung, are very bright, crisp and juicy.

Journalists who managed to get to the new smartphone before all others note that with a direct comparison between S8 and S9, the speakers of the latter actually sound "richer" and louder.

After all, in the end, just such subtle details give the right to be called a flagship device.

S9 - the first phone with a single camera having a double aperture
The biggest changes in the new models S9 and S9 + were their rear cameras. While all the smartphones currently on the market have a fixed lens aperture, the 12-megapixel S9 and S9 + camera has a Super Speed Dual Pixel camera with two diaphragms and optical stabilization.
In the S9 model, the camera switches the aperture depending on the shooting conditions. If there is sufficient lighting around (for example, during daylight shooting), then it switches to the aperture f / 2.4. The pictures are clear from angle to corner. But if the scene has poor lighting, the camera switches to the aperture f / 1.5, adding photos of light. There is no possibility to choose one or another aperture. The system works automatically. In theory, this makes camera devices more like real cameras, which tend to come with customizable apertures.

The S9 + model has a dual camera system. The second lens is located above the main lens, has a f / 2.4 aperture, and also an integrated optical image stabilizer. The dual camera as a whole works the same as on the Note 8. It has a "live focus" function that allows you to adjust the background blur in real time, which helps to find the right combination between realism and effect. In the novelty there is also a function of "multiframe". It creates sets of four frames and makes them the last image with an already minimized noise level. The effect is similar to the one used to create HDR photos. The function composes multiple images with different effects to obtain a final image with a wider dynamic range. In general, the function of the multiframe allows you to reduce the noise level in the images by 30 percent compared to the same parameters for the S8.
Sensor camera Super Speed Dual Pixel allows you to shoot slow motion video at a rate of 960 frames per second with HD resolution. The same iPhone X can shoot "sloumo" only at 240 frames per second. The Japanese brother in the person of Sony Xperia XZ does not lag behind the novelty of Samsung and can also shoot video at a speed of 960 frames per second, but it does not have an AI system that detects motion on video and slows them only for the time of this moment.
Selfi fans will find on the front panel of devices an 8-megapixel camera with f / 1.7 aperture and autofocus. And they should like the new function AR Emoji, which is the answer of Animoji iPhone X.
